Mission Statement
An estimated that 75% of disease and the major causes of disability and premature death can be prevented by applying information that we already have. The problem is that although there is good information available, most people without advanced scientific training have a difficult time sorting out the wheat from the chaff. Our goal is to empower people to take charge of their health by providing them with the most useful science based information on preventing the most common causes of disability and early death. This approach is good for the individual patient as well as for our nation. No one wants to spend the last years of life in a nursing home. Plus, an influx of unhealthy "Baby Boomers" in the coming years will overwhelm the nation's health care system unless people act now to improve their health. Healthy people live longer and better - and that's a win-win situation for everyone.

Philosophy

Dr. Chene recognizes the bodies' innate ability to heal itself most of the time if given the proper environment ¾ nutritionally, physically, and emotionally. She believes it is in the best interest of each person to learn to take charge of his or her own health to the greatest extent possible. Good scientific data demonstrate that there is much we can do to reduce people's risk of most cancers, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, broken bones, and other causes of disability and premature death.

Dr. Chene is committed to empowering people, with valid information, to attain their optimal health - using the best of conventional and alternative modern medicine. She has high ethical standards to act in the best interest of each patient and will not compromise this integrity. Her allegiance is to the patient, and therefore her recommendations are not directed by any business people, including insurance companies, HMOs, and other for-profit groups.
